A very wet winter season this year portends well for the desert areas here in Southern California. On March 4th, we headed out to Shaver's Valley in Eastern Riverside County, about 130 miles from Murrieta, to check out the blooms. It was a pleasant day, around 70F at 1:30pm, and just a tad hazy -perfect lighting for photographing wildflowers. Lots of greenery on site indicating that peak bloom is yet to come.
