8/8/17 Pomeroy Avenue, Pismo Beach
This was our third trip to Pismo Beach. We were RV camping nearby at Oceano for our 2017 summer vacay and just absolutely had to come here to get some clam chowder from Splash Cafe. They serve 30,000 gallons of clam chowder a year so they must be doing something right. Their chowder is thick and rich - distinctively Pismo rather than Boston. You can buy their chowder online and they also have a second location in San Luis Obispo. As we were there in August during the height of the tourist season, the lines were long and parking scarce along the main drag so my advice is to get there early to beat the crowds.
