DAY 1: AUGUST 17, 2020 (Hwy 395N to Convict Lake-Dolly Varten Cabin #17):
Hwy. 136 Junction with Hwy. 395, Lone Pine, Inyo County
Quick pit stop to let the fur babes out to stretch their legs and do their thing. This was right next to the Eastern Sierra Interagency Visitor Center (USFS), which was closed due to COVID-19. It was overcast but still in the triple digits. Luckily, the cloud cover and wind made it more bearable here.

We checked into our Cabin #17 (Dolly Varden) at Convict Lake around 6:45pm.
