VENTURA (Ventura County, CA) 11/20/2012

This picturesque coastal town south of Santa Barbara is a nice place to visit if you're driving north on the 101 from the LA area. Places to see here include Ventura Harbor, The Channel Islands National Park Visitor Center at 1901 Spinnaker Drive, Ventura Pier, Downtown Ventura (where many shops, museums, restaurants, and the Mission San Buenaventura are located), and the Olivas Adobe (an early California Rancho style home that is now a museum). Other nearby points of interest include San Buenaventura State Beach, McGrath State Beach, and Emma Wood State Beach.
